Lead-Deadwood Elementary

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have many exciting and interesting things planned for your child this school year. More than any other time in history, your child is able to participate in an educational environment that is held to the highest of standards. We are hard at work in education making sure that your child receives the highest level of instructional integrity, scrutinizing programs to ensure that they are both necessary and of the highest quality.
As the school year progresses, I would encourage you to take an active role in your child’s educational experience. Children are eager to share their school experience with you. Please make every effort to spend some time in your child’s classroom, on the playground or having lunch with them. Being involved in your child’s education will open a window to what is going on in their lives with friends, relationships and teachers. Building strong relationships with our students is very important to every community stakeholder. We are continually looking for ways to construct and improve upon the relationships that exist within our school. Research has proven that when there is a strong connection between home and the student’s educational environment, their ability to retain instruction is greatly increased.
If at any time you have a concern regarding your child’s relationships with our staff or other students, please let me know as soon as possible. Every staff member at Lead-Deadwood Elementary School is interested in providing the best educational experience for each and every child.
Sincerely,
Tim Kosters
Elementary Principal
