The Lead Deadwood Arts Center will be sponsoring its 17th Annual Free LEGO Contest on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Lead Deadwood High School, 320 S. Main in Lead. Registration will take place from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with judging beginning at 6:30 p.m. Participants should create a LEGO sculpture at home and enter it in the contest. Awards will be given for the top three in each category. There is no pre-registration, just arrive between 6-6:30 with your entry. The event is open to all and will be held in conjunction with the Lead Deadwood School "STEAMFair." Special thanks to our friends at CAI Construction who have been sponsoring this event the past 16-years! Participation prizes for all who enter! For more information, please call 584-1461. To help students navigate the wide variety of resources available to them, the South Dakota Statewide Family Engagement Center has created The Ultimate College and Career Resource Guide (https://sdsfec.org/college-career-guide/). This is a free online “one-stop-shop” resource guide for students, families, schools, and communities.
From exploring careers to looking at colleges to figuring out how to pay for college, this guide is intended to help students and their families plan for the future.
We encourage you to check out this useful resource as you plan for the future. You are also encouraged to visit with Mrs. Britzman, high school counselor, for additional information and resources.
