Healthy Kids Are Better Students! Children with health insurance are more likely to complete high school and graduate college compared with their peers who don’t have access to care. Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide children with the care they need so they’re better prepared to learn and less likely to miss school because of illness.
