I'd like to send a follow-up from my post last week about the proposed middle school renovation. We have done a little survey of parents and staff about our goals for this project. 76% of respondents agree or strongly agree that the main entrance to the middle school can be inconvenient or hard to find. 83% agree or strongly agree that a plan should be developed to improve traffic flow around the middle school. 97% agree or strongly agree that they are excited about adding designated CTE and STEM areas in the middle school. The great news is that the LDSD Board of Education is taking steps to address these things soon!
The track meet scheduled for Saturday, April 27th in Sturgis has been cancelled due to the weather. It will be moved and ran on Tuesday, April 30th along with the JV meet that was scheduled that day in Sturgis. Thank you.
